Architectural Products Magazine has named the TRUFAST ProChannel Ci Cladding Support system with Grip-Deck TubeSeal® technology a winner in the Product Innovation Awards (PIA). As a collaboration with ClarkDietrich, the thermally efficient structural exterior rainscreen wall cladding attachment system is intended to minimize penetrations through the insulation and AWRB layers. The key to its efficiency is the self-sealing Grip-Deck TubeSeal® fastening system developed by TRUFAST Walls.
“We are very proud and honored to receive the Architectural Products PIA Award,” said Jason Wigboldy, TRUFAST Walls President. “This innovation helps architects and builders provide a minimal thermal footprint while delivering a stable support system for exterior wall cladding construction on a ventilated rainscreen system.”
The ProChannel Ci Cladding Support with Grip-Deck TubeSeal Technology is designed to be installed over a ventilated rainscreen over exterior continuous insulations. The Pro Channel Ci creates a 7/8ʺ vented rainscreen air cavity, while the TubeSeal helps seal the blind fastener penetration at the AWRB behind the layer of continuous insulation. Thermal-bridging is also reduced by the TubeSeal which prevents contact between the screw and the channel, creating a thermal-break. It also seals the fastener penetrations against air and water leakage and it does not use any clips, girts, or other large penetrations through the insulation to affix the rainscreen to the structure.
It is available in standard 12ʹ-0ʺ length- 1-1/2ʺ wide flange for cladding screw attachment.
Winners are listed in the November/December issue of Architectural Products, with more winner profiles scheduled for the January issue. To learn more about the TRUFAST Pro Channe Ci™ Wall System visit www.trufast.com
