Sure Drive USA, Press Release

May 1, 2013- Sure Drive USA, a division of Pan American Screw and a member of The Marmon / Berkshire-Hathaway Corporation, is very excited to announce that it has acquired the patents and manufacturing rights from Ty-Lan Enterprises for its complete line of hidden deck fasteners.

Ty-Lan Enterprises’ hidden deck fastener program includes Shadoe®Track, The Hidden Link® and Mantis Clip® hidden deck fasteners. Ty-Lan Enterprises was one of the original innovators in the hidden deck fastener market with its introduction of Shadoe®Track in 1995 and has been on the cutting edge of design ever since. Brian Orchard, president of Ty-Lan, will continue to be active in the sales and product development aspects with Sure Drive USA.

With the acquisition of the Ty-Lan patents, Sure Drive USA, a leading manufacturer of construction fasteners will expand its product line offering to the deck fastener market. Sure Drive USA manufactures popular fasteners including Copperguard™ and Rustguard™ exterior decking screws, Cap-Sure™ composite deck screws and Seamaster™ stainless steel deck screws sold primarily through wholesale distribution and private label packaging. This acquisition will now position Sure Drive USA with one of the most comprehensive “deck fastening solutions” programs available in the marketplace.

Sure Drive USA is part of the Construction Fastener Group within Marmon / Berkshire-Hathaway with sister companies: Deerwood Fasteners International (the leading supplier of woodworking fasteners), Co-Op Screw (a leader in the window and door fastener market), Atlas Bolt and Screw (a leading manufacturer of metal to wood and metal to metal fasteners) and Robertson, Inc.
