Remove Candle Wax from Carpet

Q: How do I remove melted candle wax from carpet?

A: First, scrape away as much dry wax as possible with a dull knife and vacuum up the chunks. Moisten a white cotton towel, fold it in half and lay it flat over the wax on the carpet. Press a hot iron over the towel for 10 seconds. The heat from the iron will draw the wax out of the carpet and into the towel. Repeat this procedure until all wax has been removed, rewetting the towel as needed. Follow up by spraying carpet cleaner on the stain and working it into the rug. Remove excess with a towel and allow it to air dry. Repeat as necessary.
