DeckWise® introduces Zero VOC WiseCoat™ Premium Hardwood Deck, Siding & Fence Sealer

DeckWise® introduces Zero VOC WiseCoat™ Premium Hardwood Deck, Siding & Fence Sealer just in time for the decking season. WiseCoat™ is an eco-friendly, non-toxic waterproofer sealant designed for use on hardwood decking, siding and fencing surfaces. This proprietary formula preserves, protects and enhances South American exotic hardwoods and American hardwoods including most types of thermally modified wood. WiseCoat™ hardwood finish is guaranteed to prevent excessive water ingress below the hardwood surface for up to ten (10) years on vertical surfaces and six (6) years on horizontal surfaces when applied according to the product instructions.

This water-based formulation utilizes proprietary nanotechnology to generate a lasting breathable barrier against corrosive conditions and severe weather. By coating the wooden fibers at the cellular level, WiseCoat™ offers security from the inside out fighting cracking and splitting of the hardwood.

This distinctive formulation absorbs deep, suppressing water intrusion by penetrating the wooden surface. WiseCoat™ will work to prevent the harmful effects of mildew and mold, dry rot, peeling, and cupping of the wood. As a non-film forming superior hardwood waterproofing sealer, it permits hardwoods to age naturally with no decay. WiseCoat™ has a semi-transparent tint which works as a UV blocking agent to lessen the hardwood from graying while boosting the natural grain and texture.

The WiseCoat™ tint improves the all-natural elegance and beauty of hardwoods without significantly altering the shade of the hardwood.

WiseCoat™ is safe for the environment and for use around people, pets and plants.

*Approximate Coverage per Gallon 250-350 sq. ft./gallon per coat. Actual coverage could vary due to porosity of wood surface.

Hardwoods appear in different degrees of colors, grain designs and overall charm features. South American hardwoods are recognized for their deep rich all-natural colors from dark to light as well as distinctive wooden grain patterns. Many hardwoods tend to be darker such as Ipe and Cumaru with red, brown and yellow hues. Other hardwoods have a deep red hue such as Massaranduba.

Garapa, Tigerwood, Teak, and Jatoba have a much lighter color along with specific and unique wood grain variations. This can also be true with thermally modified timber such as American Ashe. Dependant on the thermal wood producer, these hardwoods might be either dark or light due to the particular thermo modification process.
