New TYTAN Coat & Seal Duct Sealant

A Hybrid Technology, Can Be Applied on Wet Surfaces

Superior Sealing, No Shrinking Or Cracking Unlike Water-Based Sealants

TYTAN Coat & Seal Duct Sealant is a hybrid technology with superior sealing properties and a number of features and benefits not found with most existing duct sealants.

Most competitive products are water based, meaning they cannot be applied on wet surfaces or be used in a place where they may be exposed to moisture within the first 24 to 48 hours. But Coat & Seal’s hybrid technology mean it can be applied on wet surfaces, even in standing water or extreme weather situations, so it also works well as an emergency repair product.

The sealant cures by drawing moisture from the air, instead of moisture evaporation like the water-based competition. Water-based sealants also shrink as they cure – by at least 40 percent – and may crack in extreme conditions. But Coat & Seal remains permanently flexible, and flexibility is important because of normal building shifts, vibrations, and materials settling after installation.

Another important feature, TYTAN Coat & Seal Duct Sealant is the only duct sealant that can be applied using a sprayer that can be hooked up to a standard compressor. TYTAN’s spray applicator can be used to spray on, or apply a bead, quickly and easily with no added cost for a dedicated sprayer.

TYTAN Coat & Seal Duct Sealant is UV resistant, paintable with anti-mildew properties; it has a low odor, low VOC (CARB compliant), and no Isocyanates. It also has passed the SMACNA pressure tests, and comes in a 600ml sausage ($16), a 1kg pail ($25) or a 5kg pail ($90).
