The Rockwell Social Grill is a 360-degree walk-around grill that’s changing how people cook and entertain outdoors. Envisioned by design legend David Rockwell, the updated grill was recently released through a strategic partnership between luxury home refrigeration brand True Residential and Caliber—which is known for its superbly crafted professional grills and precision grilling. Today, the grills are designed to be enjoyed from every angle, with a fully retractable “disappearing” lid for enhanced entertaining, and availability in a palette of bold and aesthetically pleasing finishes. It’s as much a conversation piece as a culinary powerhouse—and when paired with True’s appliances, it creates a fully customizable, high-performance outdoor kitchen built for both style and function.
As the sole manufacturer of Caliber grills now, True’s advancements are multifaceted—major improvements include that the lid is now equipped with a special counterbalance mechanism that ensures smooth transitions when opening or closing; the depth was decreased to fit into 24” cabinets and gas valve springs were replaced with durable Weber Knapp hinges that work at all angles. The pitch of the firebox was also adjusted to a steeper angle to improve grease management and flow. In addition, the Rockwell Social Grill is available in four sizes at the moment (36”, 42”, 48”, and a 60” Freestanding), and will offer the choice of propane or natural gas, grill or griddle, and stainless steel or any of True’s curated color and hardware solutions.
