How do you stop condensation on a toilet tank?

Q: Is there any way to stop condensation of a toilet tank? Water beads up on the tank and drips onto the bathroom floor, and I’m tired of wiping up little puddles.

A: Many home centers sell toilet-tank insulation kits that utilize polystyrene tank liners. You’ll need to shut off the water supply, drain the water from the tank, and wipe the inside of the tank dry. Cut the liners to size to match the tank walls and use the supplied adhesive to glue them to the interior walls. The polystyrene should prevent the walls of the tank from becoming so cool that water condenses on the outside.
