How do I kill clover on my lawn?

Q: What’s an effective method to kill clover on my lawn? I don’t like the little white flowers that attract insects.

A: Clover is a low-growing perennial weed that infests lawns across the U.S. Depending on where you live, a preemergent weed-and-feed product can be an effective preventive measure. Some weed killers are specially formulated for southern lawns. Always follow the directions for application on the label.
