Battery Tender will operate out of booth SU3317 during the International Builders’ Show and unveil its latest innovations in EV chargers for home usage to contribute to sustainability efforts across the United States. Visitors can also learn more about becoming an Authorized Reseller.
Changes to building standards by the International Code Council in January 2020 required all new construction homes to be “EV ready.” This change meant that all new constructions must be
EV-capable, have an EV-ready outlet, or have an EV-installed charger.
In October 2023, The U.S. Department of Energy made it a requirement for new construction homes with a garage, carport, or driveway to include a Level 2 EV charging station or electric pre-wiring to support a Level 2 EV charging station.
