Plus New Updates for Select RDI® Railings
Barrette Outdoor Living®, a division of Oldcastle® APG, launched EncloSure, a DIY-friendly aluminum screen enclosure solution that enables homeowners to enjoy being outdoors while offering protection against insects and the elements.
Featuring a premium powder coat, EncloSure utilizes high-quality screening with flat spline technology that ensures screens stay in place even in the windiest conditions. The system can install into an existing covered patio, deck or upper balcony and offers an optional railing infill kit, screen door and in-swing kit.
“With so many homeowners continuing to redefine their outdoor living space, EncloSure is another option in our product portfolio that can create an extra place for entertaining while also providing increased privacy,” said Patrick Ianni, Vice President of Customer Operations and Product Management, Barrette Outdoor Living.
The company also made two notable updates in its RDI Railing line — including a 42” high panel for its award-winning ElevationTM Rail and the addition of a Satin Black color option to its premium Transform® Composite Railing.
“The availability of a 42” height makes this innovative cable railing viable for use in commercial and multi-family applications,” said Ianni. Elevation Rail features the patent-pending OneTenTM built-in centralized tension system — a mechanism that eliminates tensioning each cable individually and decreases the number of seasonal adjustments.
The introduction of Satin Black to Transform Composite Railing was a decision that allows this product to align with recent design trends being seen in new home construction and home remodeling, such as windows with black grids and trim.
With a robust material composition offering the look of painted wood, Transform fights damage from moisture, rot, insects and other harmful elements and is finished with an acrylic cap to defend against scratching and impact.
