You need to enjoy yourself this fall. You’re a hard worker, but you should remember to make time to relax. A little downtime is good for the body and soul.
If you’re reading Extreme How-To, then you’re either a DIY’er or a pro remodeler, so you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty and break a little sweat. You make all the improvements to your home in the few spare hours outside your full-time job, because that’s what it takes to get things accomplished.
And, if you’re this type of person, then the DIY ethic likely doesn’t stop at improvements. You stay on top of your home’s maintenance and repairs, because a little prevention is worth a pound of cure. You mow the grass, and then you fix the mower. You trim the hedges and unclog the toilets and tackle all of life’s little emergencies that tend to vex the other members of your household.
You probably change your own motor oil and shudder at the thought of ever having to phone a repairman for anything, because you like to save a little money at every opportunity. After all, wealthy people don’t often do their own dirty work when they’ve
got plenty of cash to hire a pro.
You, however, would rather spend those dollars taking your family out to eat than give them to someone else to do a job that you could do yourself. So, you go the extra mile. You step up to the plate and do the jobs yourself.
The world needs more people like you.
But hard work can be taxing, and people like you can get carried away. They can get burnt out, tired and maybe even testy around the house. That’s when they need to relax.
So this fall, don’t forget to slow down and take it easy. You deserve a break.
It’s football season. Have a cold one.
