How to Install a Dearborn Space-Saving Drain Kit

Step 1: Connect to the sink tailpiece.

Start at the sink drain or disposal outlet and attach the tailpiece connection.

Step 2: Install the 90-degree waste arm.

Attach the waste arm and orient it horizontally toward the wall outlet.

Step 3: Position the P-trap.

Set the trap body near the wall outlet to keep the plumbing tucked toward the back of the cabinet.

Step 4: Adjust the telescoping arm.

Extend or retract the adjustable sections until the trap aligns with the wall drain.

Step 5: Tighten slip-joint connections.

Hand-tighten the nuts and washers, then snug them slightly with pliers if necessary.

Because the components telescope, cutting pipe is usually unnecessary.
