Q: Is there an easier way to remove ice from car windows than scraping?

A: Fill up a spray bottle with two parts rubbing alcohol and one part tap water. Keep the bottle in your house at room temperature. Spray the mixture on your icy car windows, and the ice should begin to melt immediately. The warm temperature of the liquid thaws the ice, and heat then transfers to the surrounding ice, melting it in a kind of chain reaction. The alcohol has a lower freezing point than water, preventing the mixture from freezing on the windows as plain water would do. Let it sit for a minute, then wipe off the melting ice (rather than scrape).
