John Deere Adds New Models and Features to its 2021 Lawn Tractor Lineup

Built to tackle any lawn care job or need, the new lineup of 2021 John Deere lawn tractors are designed to make yard work even more efficient through increased power, performance, and rider comfort. With new updates spanning across the 100 Series, 200 Series, X300 Select Series, and X500 Select Series model lines, homeowners now have a fresh range of features to choose from, whether they are a lawn care novice or DIY expert.

100 Series

Perfect for first time home buyers, the easy to own and easy to maintain 100 Series Lawn Tractors include best in class ergonomics with models ranging from the S100 to the S180. Modernized styling includes a sleek front bumper and comfortable open back seat. Side-by-side forward and reverse pedals improve operation of the hydrostatic transmission. To make tractor ownership  even easier, a new easy-read fuel gauge and industry exclusive John Deere Easy Change™ 30-Second Oil Change System are available on the S120, S130, S160, S170, and S180 models. With the Easy Change™ oil system, owners can change their oil by simply twisting on a new cartridge that contains both the oil and the filter, eliminating the need to drain messy engine oil.

To properly collect grass clippings or leaves, the optional 100 Series rear baggers are designed to easily install in less than 5 minutes with no tools required. To seamlessly assist beginners with mulching, new 42-inch and 48-inch Mulch Covers and 54-inch Mulch Kits are also available. Lastly, the new MowerPlus™ Deluxe Smart Connector communicates via Bluetooth® technology with the MowerPlus™ smartphone app to relay fuel level, battery state, and hour meter information to the MowerPlus™ app for enhanced machine management. 200 Series

For customers looking to step up, John Deere offers the 200 Series with upgraded engines, top of the line mower decks, and a 3-year/200-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty. The new 200 Series Lawn Tractors come equipped with 42-inch and 48-inch Accel Deep™ mower decks nearly five inches deep and a Cyclonic engine on the S220 to power through tall grass. These units are also compatible with the new MowerPlus™ Deluxe Smart Connector and MulchControl™ Kits. Additionally, the S240 model is complete with a deluxe steering wheel for better maneuverability and operator comfort. X300 Select Series

Ranging from the X330 to the X394, the X300 Select Series Lawn Tractors boast a 4-year/300-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty and greater versatility for homeowners who are experienced with lawn care. All 2021 X300 models come with increased horsepower and seat improvements on most models, made to enhance operator comfort while mowing. The new 18-inch automotive styled, cut-and-sewn seat has more foam, an embroidered John Deere logo, and improved durability with uniform vinyl thickness that is available on select models.

The new X300 Select Series Lawn Tractors also offer optional MulchControl™ with one-touch technology, making it even easier for property owners to switch between mulching to side-discharging their grass on the fly. Toolbox storage covers now come standard with all X300 models, as well as a cup holder, under-seat storage, a foot pedal lift system, cruise control, and Accel Deep™ mower decks in 42-inch, 48-inch, and 54-inch sizes. Lastly, all new models also feature a hydrostatic transmission with Twin Touch™ forward and reverse foot pedals, and easy-to-read display. X500 Select Series

The X500 Select Series Lawn Tractors range from the X570 to the X590 models, provide a 4-year/300-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty, Accel Deep™ mower decks in 48-inch and 54-inch sizes, and with multiple features to help users power through any condition. New 21-inch automotive styled, cut-and-sewn seats are equipped on most models along with the new toolbox storage covers. Additionally, specific X500 models are available with a special hydraulic lift system to make raising and lowering the mower deck easy and tilt steering. Those who purchase the X580 or X590 models will get power two-wheel steering, while the X584 features power four-wheel steering. Lastly, these models are also available with optional MulchControl™ complete with one-touch technology.
