Cleaning Artificial Stone

Q: How do I clean artificial stone in my house?

A: First, protect the areas around the stone with a drop cloth. Fill two buckets halfway with warm water. Add a little mild dishwashing detergent to one of the buckets. Start at the top and work downward in small areas at a time, using a scrub brush and the soapy water to wash the stone clean. Then, use a damp towel soaked in the clean water to rinse the suds off the stones. You’ll need several towels to replace them as they get too dirty. If possible, open doors and windows in the room to ventilate the area, which will help the stone to dry.
